Bushnell Tour V2 with PinSeeker Laser Rangefinder
A feature of the Tour V2 which has been found to be of value to golfers is the PinSeeker feature.
Golfers are well aware that during their day on the course they are surrounded by trees, reflective objects, and other objects that need clarifying when it comes to estimating distances in a rangefinder.
This ‘PinSeeker’ feature can be used when there is uncertain clarity between two distant objects. For example, where a flagstick is backed by a stand of trees and the rangefinder may not give a true reading to the flagstick, the PinSeeker can then be set to read to the flagstick for a correct reading.
Using this example of a flagstick (which could be any other object desired as a marker), the rangefinder, when in PinSeeker mode, will show a small icon in the lower left of the display. When the icon that is desired is in this area then the reading will be to that item. This should mean that the Tour V2 has locked on to the pin and is ignoring other objects around the selected marker.
Although this feature has been found to be beneficial you can imagine that there are still times when the ‘locking on’ of an object in the distance may in fact, not be the object that the golfer was trying to estimate a distance to.
If an object clarification is not needed then the golfer would more than likely use the Automatic Scan Mode rather than set the PinSeeker Mode.
Investing in the likes of a Bushnell Tour V2 Laser Rangefinder improves your golf score no end.
